At WalkRace, your privacy is our top priority. We believe in complete transparency regarding how data is handled by our mobile application and website.
1. Apple HealthKit Data
WalkRace requests permission to read step count data from Apple HealthKit. Step data is used exclusively to display your daily totals, power 1v1 step duels, and compute leaderboard rankings. HealthKit data is never sold, shared with third-party advertisers, or used for marketing purposes.
2. Location & GPS Privacy
WalkRace does not track, log, or store your GPS location. Step counts are registered via motion coprocessor sensors inside your device. We do not require location services permissions for step counting.
3. Data Protection & Security
All communication between the WalkRace iOS app and our secure backend is encrypted over HTTPS/TLS. User accounts and competitive duel states are managed safely using Supabase backend infrastructure.
